SONY PROTO-TYPE 21" OLED TV

XEL-1’s bigger brother!

Sony  shows off its latest OLED creation at the Japan Display 2009 show unofficially named the XEL-2.

The recent release of this amazing  Sony demo 21″  OLED television is only 1 cm thick or 10mm ( the XEL-1 is a super-slim 3 mm thick) plus it offers a super 1366 x 768 High Def resolution, compared to the XEL-1’s 960 x 540 res. The 21″ version however aslo comes with the standard 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio of course.

Will this be the new up and coming OLED television version XEL-2 to be released in retail stores worldwide or is Sony simply testing the waters for industry feedback and looking to market even larger OLED displays in the near future?

... and only 1cm thick!
