APPLE, KODAK, LG, DEVELOPING NEW OLED PRODUCTS COMING SOON TO A STORE NEAR YOU!

APPLE (AAPL):According to CNNMoney.com sources disclosed that Apple is ramped up to soon be releasing their version of an OLED touchscreen “netbook” with a display of approx. 10″ ready for the retail marketplace sometime in mid to late 2009. Specifications and functions of the touchscren notebook is still under evaluation.The OLED scresn will be supplied to Apple by the Taiwan based Wintek Corp. to manufacture the organic touch-screens while the world’s largest notebook maker by revenue Quanta Computer will assemble the OLED notebooks.

LG:
LG Korea will be supplying a new line of the super highly energy efficient organic displays for Apple’s IPhone 3.0, IPod Touch and the recently announced Apple OLED laptop or “NetBook” as some are calling the next generation of Apple laptops. The biggest hurdle for LG touch OLED displays was the grease residue from finger marking on the touch screens however a new coating layer has been developed that will deal with this issue.

Further industry rumours according to Aussie tech magazine’s Smarthouse “un-named sources” that the next gen IPhone 3.0 will be made with an AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic LED) display.

Kodak’s devlopment of OLED products now states in a new report by LG a licensing agreement together with Kodak to supply OLED displays for a number of new generation consumer electronics incorporating this amazing organic technology. Kodak was the first major electronics manufacturer to release their version of an OLED digital picture frame in the fall of 2008 that retailed for just under $1000 when debuted. The LG organic digital photo frame version under the Kodak licensing agreement will be showcased later in 2009.
